Great Stroke: Romero Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, July 23rd , 2031 César Romero was at the head of a New Mexico hit parade today at Santa Ana Star Field. The first baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Lobos to a 16-3 victory over the Nevada Wolfpack. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Romero told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Wolfpack skipper Bob Howry said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." César Romero singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Juan Rivera in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Juan Rivera in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 6th.
