The Purple Aces left fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond to lead his club past the Stanford Cardinal. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Eduardo Ramírez singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Malcolm Derksen in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
