Mesa's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Thursday, June 19th , 2031 San Diego State first baseman Román Mesa has extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with a 1-for-4 day. However, the Stanford Cardinal took the 5-2 victory over the Aztecs at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond. "Disappointing," Mesa said of the outcome. Román Mesa struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Mesa is batting .292 this season in 56 games with 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 219 at-bats. |
