Cowboys Catling Dominates Rebels Friday, May 28th , 2027 In a seemingly effortless performance, Ed Catling of the McNeese State Cowboys shot down the UNLV Rebels 10-0 on a 1-hit shutout. "Ed was just locating so well and using his pitches," McNeese State manager Cesar Crespo said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Catling recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," UNLV manager Jack Sparks said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him." On his stats sheet for the year Catling shows a 1-5 record, 7 starts, 33 innings, 24 strikeouts and a 7.36 ERA. View Boxscore |
