Spinners Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 There will certainly be no championship parade for the Lowell Spinners this season. They were already on the outside looking in for the playoff chase, but the club was officially eliminated from contention today. The Spinners have missed the playoffs 27 times in their 32 years as a VBL Single A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 19th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1995. Lowell last won the Single A World Series in 1994. |
