Ruíz Hits in 20 Straight Games Friday, July 23rd , 2032 Víctor Ruíz ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Googleplex, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Seattle Pilots dropped the game, 6-4, to the Vancouver Red Dragons. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Ruíz said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Víctor Ruíz struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Posting a .348 batting average to date, Ruíz has no home runs and 10 RBIs. |
