Guldenmond's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, July 7th , 2032 Win or lose, Gidde Guldenmond just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Carmel Scoobys second baseman went 1-for-3 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 10-0 by the Madison Tortoises at Cyclone Alley. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Gidde Guldenmond grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Guldenmond has hit .305 with 1 home run and 25 RBIs. He has played in 70 games and scored 31 times. |
