Willis Magnificent in 5-0 Iowa Triumph Thursday, April 29th , 2004 Iowa hurler Dontrelle Willis put on quite a show, as he blitzed the Salt Lake Stingers with a 5-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 5 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk to pick up the win. "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Salt Lake manager Al Lentz told reporters after the game. This season, Willis has a 2-1 record with a 2.93 ERA in 6 starts. |
