Red Dragons End Núñes's Streak
Wednesday, May 31st , 2028
The Vancouver Red Dragons pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Miguel Núñes hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 5-1 victory over the Conquest Mustachios at Googleplex. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the second baseman.
"I'm a little down right now," Núñes said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
To date Núñes has chalked up a .321 average with 1 home run, driven in 11 runs and scored 12 times.
