Grimes Gone for Season in Weequahic Sunday, June 6th , 2032 The Weequahic Seabees were dealt a severe blow when Chris Grimes was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the St. Paul Constellations. After the game, the team trainer reported Grimes might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 23-year-old closer out for the rest of the season with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. They indicated it would take Grimes at least 8 months to heal. This year his season stats show Grimes has no saves in 22 relief appearances with a 3-0 mark and 4.45 ERA. |
