Tomlin Belts 3 HR Against Madison Saturday, June 5th , 2032 Bob Tomlin went yard three times in a Colorado Springs Continentals victory over the Madison Tortoises at CHS Field today. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Colorado Springs right fielder went 3-for-4 against Madison with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Continentals to the 11-4 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Bob Tomlin hit a solo-shot off Won-u Chun in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Won-u Chun in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jeff Phillips in the 6th. Presently Tomlin is batting .264 and has collected 13 home runs, 33 RBIs, .337 OBP and scored 28 runs. |
