Winterhalder Hits for the Cycle Saturday, May 15th , 2032 Donald Winterhalder truly did it all at Cy Young Stadium today. The Juneau Mountaineers second baseman hit for the cycle -- collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- as he paced his club to victory, 9-5 over the Houston Horror. "You know that sweet sound you hear when you hit the ball just right? I heard that every time today," Winterhalder said later. "It was a heck of a feeling." It was a game good enough for him to make a little history. He bombed Houston pitching for 4 hits in 5 at-bats and his name will now go into the record books. Winterhalder also racked up 2 runs batted in and 4 runs scored in the game. Donald Winterhalder singled in the 1st, tripled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Johnston in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. This season Winterhalder has banged out 36 hits in 132 at-bats for a .273 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .331 pace and his totals also include 15 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
