Willems Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, April 28th , 2032 The Houston Horror may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 11-6 to the Conquest Mustachios, but Franck Willems continued to hit like a god. The left fielder collected 2 hits in 2 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Willems is playing great and is on fire right now," Horror manager Francisco RodrÃguez said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Willems was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Franck Willems singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. |
