BNN Reports Ousting of Newtown Manager Allen Thursday, December 25th , 2031 You can't fire the players when times get tough. Al Allen learned that the hard way today as he was dismissed from his managerial position with the Newtown Juicers. Citing a need to "shake things up," a team official said it was time to move on. "We respect what Al has done for the club and we thank him for his time here, but we just think the future of the Juicers needs to be handled by someone else and needs to move in a different direction," said club general manager Joe Unknown in a prepared statement. For his part, Allen remained upbeat about the decision. "I know it's a business and sometimes you've just got to make a change," he said. "I want to thank Newtown for the opportunity to manage here." Team officials are expected to announce an interim manager in the next few days. |
