Another Setback for Newtown's Jim Blackwell Friday, December 12th , 2031 Jim Blackwell is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Juicers sent the 23-year-old starting pitcher back to the doctors for reexamination. Blackwell told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Blackwell will now miss a minimum of 14-15 months. Jim Blackwell is expected to undergo surgery in Newtown(Connecticut) tomorrow. |
