Fresno's Kevin Woolfolk Named Top PCL Manager Friday, September 16th , 2005 The Fresno Grizzlies called a press conference to announce that field manager Kevin Woolfolk had been named Pacific Coast League Manager of the Year earlier in the day. Staffers congratulated the 47-year-old baseball guru as he approached the podium. "This city has allowed me to craft a winning ball club," said Woolfolk. "When you take on a new job, there's always some adjustment period, but everyone here has been cooperative. From the bat boys on up. Here's to many more successful seasons for the Fresno Grizzlies!" Woolfolk led Fresno to a 96-47 record this year and a first place finish in the Pacific Coast League. |
