Tucson's Barden to Miss Season Tuesday, June 21st , 2005 The news is bad in Tucson. The Sidewinders have lost the services of third baseman Brian Barden for the rest of the season due to a broken kneecap. Barden was injured in a recent game with the Salt Lake Stingers while being hit by a pitch and is expected to miss 5-6 months. In 70 games this year, Barden has posted a .236 average and put up these numbers: 5 home runs, 32 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
