Joe Mixon, the Lloydminster Lunkers 24-year-old designated hitter, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Martinez League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 10 hits in 23 at-bats, compiling a .435 average with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. This season Mixon is batting .311 with 37 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 27 times and has 20 RBI. |
