Redding Holds Tacoma Scoreless Wednesday, April 6th , 2005 It wasn't easy but the Omaha Golden Spikes made it look that way. Starter Tim Redding shut out the Tacoma Rainiers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Omaha Golden Spikes cruised to victory, 12-0. Redding allowed only 1 hit and rang up 12 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." |
