Perez Torches Sidewinders for 5 Hits Tuesday, August 17th , 2004 The Omaha Golden Spikes tripped up the Tucson Sidewinders, 6-4. The Golden Spikes were led by Neifi Perez, their 31-year-old shortstop. Perez made life miserable for Tucson pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 7 at-bats. Neifi Perez doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, grounded out in the 10th, singled in the 12th and singled in the 14th. For the year, Perez is hitting .280 with 11 home runs. His stats include 54 runs batted in and 71 runs scored. |
