Savannah-Greenville Announce Deal Monday, January 29th, 2018 The Fighting Bananas and 84s pulled the trigger on a deal that will see a 1st round draft pick head to Greenville in exchange for 27-year-old CF Carl Smith, a 1st round draft pick and a 1st round draft pick. A source close to Savannah officials said "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs." Smith has a lifetime .298 average with 385 hits, 109 doubles, 5 triples, 46 home runs and 181 RBIs to date. |
