Springfield's Santana Gets HL Player of the Week Monday, August 25th, 2014 At the age of 27, Tomás Santana might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Springfield right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .571 batting average. For his efforts Santana collected the Helton League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs and 10 RBIs last week in 7 games. This year Santana is batting .287 with 27 home runs and 77 RBIs. |
