Bandits Trade García to Goldeyes for Chávez Friday, December 24th , 2027 The Omaha Bandits announced a deal with the Goldeyes today, sending 24-year old 1B António García to Winnipeg for 25-year old minor league RHP Francisco Chávez, 26-year old minor league RHP Silvestro Guaneri, and 24-year old minor league 1B Vito Heesemans. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly. Lifetime García is hitting .299 with 253 hits, 58 doubles, 2 triples and 28 home runs. He has scored 114 runs and driven in 119. Chávez's career stats show a 1-1 record, 38 appearances, 1 save and a 4.02 ERA. He has 67 strikeouts in 62.2 innings pitched. |
