Postseason Bid Ends for Winnipeg Monday, September 27th , 2027 The Winnipeg Goldeyes may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in The Virtual Baseball League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Goldeyes manager Rich Batchelor said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." Before this season, the Goldeyes had made the playoffs 2 times in a row. In the 46 years they have been a The Virtual Baseball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 36 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Goldeyes have missed the playoffs 4 times. Winnipeg last won the The October Classic in 2022. |
