Tropics Come up Short of Playoffs Friday, October 2nd , 2026 Looking at the bigger picture, Francisco Castillo of the Puerto Rico Tropics said he's excited for what's to come in the years ahead for his squad. But in the present, he said, the club is quite disappointed with the realization today that they are now mathematically out of playoff contention for the 2026 season. Puerto Rico last appeared in the postseason in 2024. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 32 times in their 45 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Tropics have missed the playoffs 4 times. |
