Recovery Slow For Buzzards Dave Pownall Saturday, October 9th, 2021 Just when it looked like Dave Pownall would soon return to the Death Valley Buzzards, the starting pitcher suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a bone spur in his elbow. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Pownall experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be disabled for at least 2-3 months. Up to now Pownall has recorded a record of 4-7. In 23 starts he has fanned 97 batters in 116.1 innings with a 5.88 ERA. |
