Dave King Out for Season Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 The Sausalito Meatballs and their fans were rocked today by the news that star starting pitcher Dave King would miss the rest of the season due to injury. King was hurt in a recent game against the Hawaii Islanders while throwing a pitch. He was immediately removed from the game and taken for examination. Tests today revealed the injury was a torn ulnar collateral ligament. His doctors think that King will miss about 11-12 months. This season King has compiled a 12-8 record with a 2.74 ERA in 33 starts. |
