Pensacola Trades Wilson for Cumberland's Smith Wednesday, February 5th, 2020 The Pensacola Blue Wahoos have released a statement confirming the trade of 25-year-old RHP Sam Wilson and a 3rd round draft pick to the Cumberland Copperheads for 28-year-old 2B John Smith, 21-year-old minor league LF Júlio Serrano, 22-year-old minor league CF José Romo and a 1st round draft pick. The deal was finalized today. His lifetime totals give Wilson 44 victories and 36 defeats with a 4.50 ERA. Smith has played in 451 games with a .283 lifetime batting average. Among his 435 hits are 115 doubles, 4 triples and 58 home runs. He also has scored 220 runs and driven in 277 runs. |
