Jon Niese Out for Season Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 A blow for Jon Niese today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 12 months with a torn rotator cuff. Niese suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Savannah Fighting Bananas are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Niese's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. In the current season in 14 starts, Jon Niese has a record of 3-4 with 43 strikeouts in 85 innings and a 3.60 ERA. |
