Beantown's Zambrano Down with Injury
Thursday, May 4th, 2017
When Carlos Zambrano was hurt against the Greenville 84s, the Beantown Ballers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 35-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Zambrano would miss 5 months of the season.

So far this year Zambrano has made 7 starts, tossed 37.2 innings, struck out 27 batters and walked 12. His record is 1-3 with a 3.11 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .237 batting average.
