Rivera Helps Toronto Cruise to 12-2 Win
The Toronto Red Birds handed the Vancouver Lynx a sound defeat, 12-2, at LaBatt's Blue Park. Mike Rivera was a main contributor to the win. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Toronto. The victory gives the Red Birds a record of 80-78.

Carlos Hidalgo made an early impact for Toronto when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came with two out in the bottom of the first, put the Red Birds on top, 5-0.

"It's still just a game," said Hidalgo, "whether you win or lose."
