Hits Galore: Daalmeijer Drills 5 Hits
Fans at Pete Rose Field got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season.

The Kentucky Rockets outplayed the Montreal Polar Bears en route to a 8-6 win, but the standout was catcher Calvin Daalmeijer. Daalmeijer netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line.

"Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Polar Bears manager Doug Davis said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too."

Calvin Daalmeijer singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

Currently Daalmeijer is hitting .269 and has collected 5 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 19 times, while playing in 52 games.
