It was a parade of hits for Ernest Preston of the Squirrel Hill Pirates at Jackie Robinson Park today.

Connecting with regularity, Preston finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but the Highlanders rose to the occasion and rained on his parade with a 7-6 win.

"Preston was really good, we were just a little better," said Highlanders manager Miguel Angel Fajardo in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win."

Ernest Preston singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.


To date this year Preston is batting .308 with 12 home runs.
