The Austin BigStars racked up a win at Rough Rider Stadium, bumping off the D.C. Teddys, 4-3. Donovan Straughan, who started for Austin, pitched effectively for his team. The win lifted the Austin record to 78-54.

Shusaku Takabayashi's at-bat in the top of the fourth inning was a big one for Austin. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Austin trailing 1-0, the catcher drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
