Hicks Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Lee Hicks put on a hitting clinic today as the Dallas Baptist Patriots dumped the New Mexico Lobos 16-8 at Santa Ana Star Field.

The Dallas Baptist center fielder made New Mexico defenders earn their pay, lashing New Mexico pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Hicks said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Lee Hicks singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.

This year Hicks has batted at a .381 pace with 127 hits, 8 home runs, 53 RBIs and scored 66 times.
