Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Missouri Tigers third baseman Larry Gill, who missed the team's pre-game session but peppered the visiting UNLV Rebels for 5 hits come game time. The Tigers went on to take the 15-6 win.

"I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often."

Larry Gill singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bill Arrington in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year Gill has hit at a .320 clip with 88 hits, 13 home runs, 57 RBIs and 52 runs scored.
