It was high-fives all around for Robert Scott at Blair Field today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Long Beach State 49ers. Scott smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 9-1 win.

"Robert was hitting everything," said Trojans manager Cody Holland. "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, 49ers manager Michael Smith told BNN beat writers that Scott "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Scott oversleeps next time."

Robert Scott singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Cedric Sandoval in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ethan Mathis in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ethan Mathis in the 8th.

Scott currently has a .336 batting average with 86 hits, 20 homers, 50 RBIs, 60 runs scored and a .388 OBP.
