Austin pitcher Rick Cederberg did his part in helping his team beat the Daniel Brand A's, 1-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Cederberg went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 6-5. Charles Parsons earned the save for Austin, his 23rd.
